Our tech-savvy escape room owner
Meet our escape room owner, Noah Dalton. He is the mechanical guru who makes ConTRAPtions Escape Rooms, well, ConTRAPtions! Noah is our resident tech wizard, a local home-grown mechanical engineer with a degree from Colorado State University. In the years since graduation, he has been employing his engineering skills in very unconventional ways. He believes in using his God-given abilities to learn, build and innovate. The result is an escape room experience that is just plain fun! We call him the Mechaneer, and he is the driving force behind the creative use of industrial technology in all of our escape room puzzles.
Crafter of the ConTRAPtions trademark
Noah and I (this is Abigail writing. I’m his wife, business partner, and husband-fan club president:) started ConTRAPtions in 2016 after getting hooked on escape rooms. Very soon, Noah’s mind began racing with ideas of how to create mechanically automated escape room puzzles. Shortly after, he began building these contraptions. We found a venue, built, installed and opened on August 19th with Mafia Gallery. Our second escape room, Tiger’s Eye, followed two months later. We finally opened our sci-fi space room, Plight of the Margo, in January 2019. The Margo was an intense two years of construction and implementation, done largely by Noah.
Our escape room owner teamwork
Noah takes care of the tech, while I craft the story line, pieces of the set, concepts, clues and artwork. We collaborate on the puzzle design, with Noah making each fixture as fresh and extraordinary as possible for our customers to play and enjoy.
We and all of our amazing staff work very hard to make ConTRAPtions awesome. But no one works harder than our gifted escape room owner, the Mechaneer himself, to offer an escape experience you won’t find anywhere but at ConTRAPtions Escape Rooms.
